Garden Wedding Marrakech
Emily & Tim
Emily and Tim from Bristol, UK, met six years ago and bonded over their love of travel and adventure.
Friday
Emily and Tim chose to welcome their friends and family and give them a real flavour of Marrakech the night before
the wedding by meeting in the famous Djeema el Fna square and walking through the souks to a sunset drinks reception
on the rooftop of the Café Arabe in the heart of the old city.
Saturday
Tim made an early start to his wedding day, enjoying 18 holes of Golf with his groomsmen, followed by a lunch at the city’s fashionable French brasserie, Café de la Poste.
Emily and the girls enjoyed the pool, sunbathing and spa treatments before the late afternoon ceremony.
Emily chose a dress by Amanda Wakely accessorised with a gold ‘hand of fatima’ anklet a wedding morning gift from her groom.

Décor and Reception
Emily and Tim chose to reflect the lush vegetation of the garden and the Moroccan surroundings in their choice of
décor. Both the ceremony flowers and centre table arrangements combined white and cream Moroccan Atlas roses with
fresh lavender, rosemary and olive branches.
Following the ceremony, guests followed the couple through the olive grove for a sunset, poolside drinks reception.
A traditional Moroccan supper was served, candlelit and open air among the olive trees of the garden.
After dinner, guests were invited to the poolside club for the ‘cutting’ of the cake – a tower of cheeses brought from
France by Emily’s father who lives there and of course the first dance.

Wedding Planners
Rosena and Fred Charmoy of Boutique Souk, an Irish and French couple who met and married whilst planning other
people’s weddings and events in the intoxicatingly, exotic Marrakech.
Rosena said, “we really enjoyed working with Tim and Emily. We had a very good connection with them from our first
meeting, they quickly agreed on all elements of the wedding – the venue, décor, the menu, wines and music, they very
much share the same tastes and outlooks, – a very good sign for their future together.”
Quote from Bride
Rosena and Fred made the whole process a real pleasure – and plenty of fun! Our two planning visits to Marrakech felt
like spending the weekend with old friends and it was amazing how quickly they both grasped our ideas for what we wanted
from the wedding and turned them into reality. It really was the perfect weekend!
