Marrakech Kasbah & Riad Wedding
Melissa & Matthew
Melissa and Matthew chose Marrakech for their traditional English wedding with a Moroccan twist! The couple held a
religious ceremony in a beautiful kasbah looking out over a Rose garden and the Atlas Mountains followed
by champagne and canapes in the Roseraie.
Groomsmen donned Morning Suits and the Bride wore a stunning ivory Caroline Castigliano gown. An African Gospel Choir sang
traditional English hymns for the ceremony and gospel classics such as 'O Happy Day' in the garden reception.
The bride and groom departed by horse and carriage for an elegant Art Deco Riad in the medina of Marrakech which Boutique Souk converted
into a stunning open air dining room for the evening’s celebrations.

Guests were entertained by a traditional Moroccan Andalou Quartet during dinner with a special appearance of a belly dancing
troupe. The Bride gamely joined in with the dancers, showing off her dance moves.
The couple chose a French style Pièce Monte profiterole tower as their wedding cake. Having cut the cake they led the way with
their first dance to Carly Simon's 'You’re so Vain' and then danced the night away poolside with fellow guests to the sounds
of a DJ and Bongo Player.
Quote from Bride and Groom :
Rosena and Fred are the secret weapon that every Bride and Groom should have ; focused, completely unflappable and dedicated

Their ability to ask the right question means that they start the process with an intrinsic
understanding of what is expected and their own reassuringly high standards mean that you genuinely can trust their judgement.
This staggering professionalism combined with their exhaustive insiders knowledge of the exotic, surprising and colourful
Marakech provided us with a wedding that was even more magical and memorable than we could ever have hoped for.

Wedding Planner Rosena said, "The contrast of the countryside Roseraie for the ceremony and the Riad in the heart of the ancient medina for
the wedding reception worked superbly. It was wonderful to follow a very classic English format in terms of dress, ceremony, hymns,
seated dinner but with exotic Moroccan touches at every point. Full Roast Lamb is a traditional dish for opulent Moroccan
weddings but Melissa and Matthew added their English touch by serving it with classic mint sauce which was a first for our
Moroccan and French Chefs!"
