Lalla Abouch, Essaouira
This charming farm, 30 km south of the coastal resort of Essaouira, is the perfect get away for those who want to
truly experience the traditions of Berber Moroccan rural life.
Lalla Abouch means ‘Lady Argan’, as the farm is host to a magnificient argan tree. Argan which is indigenous to
Morocco and famed for its nutritional and cosmetic qualities is harvested and pressed on-site.

and techniques from the local community. The house prepares wholesome breads and cous cous by hand from its own wheat
supply and the kitchen is the ideal place to learn the secrets to Moroccan cooking.
A small fresh water swimming pool is ideal for cooling off after a morning of lending a hand on the farm or simply
befriending the donkeys and goats.
