Rustic – The Ourika Valley has some of the most scenic countryside, within minutes of leaving the city. The diversity of the landscape with is biblical berber villages and diversity of vegetation is unforgettable. We particularly recommend visiting on Monday, when the Tnin Ourika berber market is in operation, to gain a real insight into berber life. Close by the aromatic herb gardens of organic cosmetics producer Nectarome are worth a visit and herbal foot bath. We suggest lunch at Kasbah Bab Ourika, a beautiful rustic chic Kasbah with superb valley and mountain views.

Active - Ouirgane Valley Trekking We particularly recommend some light trekking with a professional local guide. On foot you can discover the rich nature of the mountains, fig, almond, peach, apple and pomegranate trees, wildflowers and herbs. Along the way you will experience the day to day life of the berber inhabitants of the area through stopping for a glass of hot sweet mint tea at a local home and discussion with your guide. The guide will tailor the walk to your level of fitness whether you wish to do a light stroll or a light stroll or a full day’s trekking.
